Harrison's LandingThis site is dedicated to the Harrison family in particular (with a large smattering of Crawford's!) andall their allied families. Generally, our known Harrison line hails from VA, TN, MO & AR, and our Crawford line from South GA and FL. Please enjoy perusing our family tree, and as it isn't perfect, I'll be happy to entertain any questions. I'm picky about facts - in many cases, you may not find a source which means that I either don't have one, so the information could be "muddled", or there is an oral tradition that has passed the history along. I do prefer sources to document things that we "know" as fact, but it isn't always possible. I do not *knowingly* incorporate inaccurate history, and have and will continue to omit some lines that have been replicated all over the web that do not seem to fit logically with our lines - but if and when significant proof on those lines (in particular the Roberts family) becomes available, I'll make necessary changes. On the Harrison side, you'll find a number of letters included that have come from both my husband's family and from the family of John Benjamin Bond III. I'm also beginning a page dedicated to the descendants of Margaret Almira Hulsey (the Mother of Doctors) and her husband Dr. Jesse J. Harrison. Please let me know if you have direct descendants of Margaret and Jesse who were or are medical doctors so that we may add them to the list! Much of the history on the Crawford lines comes from Folks Huxfords' "Pioneers of Wiregrass Georgia." Be sure to take a look at the letters and photos that have been collected from a number of family sources - and as you browse through names, if you see a camera icon, click on it for a photo! Thanks for visiting Harrison's Landing! ~ Kay Crawford Harrison
